Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton took inspiration from the 1990s club scene for the label’s Spring/Summer 2014 McQ by Alexander McQueen collection. Bold patterns, color-blocking, black and white juxtapositions, and acid-washed motifs dominate the range as tailored button-downs and slim trousers appear alongside patched, wide-legged denim, graphic sweatshirts, and a bevy of outerwear. Tartan and graffiti-inspired motifs even appear as the collection takes cues from the streetwear of the decade.
