A Further Look at the Raf Simons for adidas 2014 Spring/Summer Collection | Video

With the previous Further Look video, HYPEBEAST visited the adidas showroom in Paris to get a firsthand look at the footwear brand’s collaboration with Rick Owens. In the showroom we also were given a chance to film an additional project with another distinguished designer: the Raf Simons for adidas 2013 Spring/Summer collection — displaying the seminal footwear label’s diverse approach in appealing to various consumers. Consistently pushing the envelope in terms of design and material, the joint release sees a special “shoe-in-shoe” concept that plays with our senses in creating greater variance and depth – applying Raf’s unique vision to some of adidas’s most iconic silhouettes including a remix of the Stan Smith and an adidas Bounce-inspired trainer. The complete collection includes eight unisex models in various colorways, totaling 21 special designs which incorporate seasonal patterns from the Raf Simons apparel collection. Expect to find exaggerated shapes, LEGO colors and Velcro closures, all incorporating nylon, leather, sports mesh and embroidery. The collection is slated for a February 2014 release and will retail within a price range of €270-350 EUR (approximately $350-460 USD).
