The ultimate juxtaposition of the classic and the “now,” Nike‘s Lunar Force 1 is arguably the pinnacle of the brand’s bevy of hybrid releases. Now the lightweight update to the early ’80s basketball low-top is set to make an appearance alongside the likes of the Lunar Cheyenne, Lunar Blazer and Lunar ADV Trail Low – a trio of Lunarlon-equipped updates to archival Nike kicks – as a part of this summer’s “Lunar Icons” collection. Built atop its typical Lunarlon sole, this take on the Air Force 1 boasts a texturized, compression-molded upper complete with a bold gradient of black and red. Finished with nubuck accents, this edition of the Lunar Force 1 is set for a July 1 debut at Nike Sportswear retailers around the world.
