As the swan song for OriginalFake crescendos in the ears of its devoted streetwear audience, the brand teams up with Japanese label Head Porter for a Spring/Summer 2013 release: the “XJ” Collection. The range includes a daypack, a pen case, two varieties of shoulder bags, and a tote, as well as a printed shirt and self-referential tee. Fans of KAWS might recognize a common motif throughout the collection, which draws inspiration from the ‘X’ eye shape found on many of the artist’s animations (i.e.: Companion). Look for the “XJ” Collection on OriginalFake’s online shop, where pieces range from ¥6,300 JPY to ¥45,000 JPY (approximately $64 USD to $454 USD).
