We’ve seen Pusha T cruise through the slums of Jamaica in “Blocka,” and recently A$AP Rocky and Skrillex steamed out in the squalor of Dominica Republic in “Wild for the Night,” now Trinidad Jame$ shows us his neck of the woods via “Female$ Welcomed.” Per usual, a topless Trinidad Jame$ is kitted out in gold and leather, strolling through his old neighborhood of St. James, Trinidad & Tobago. The track starts off on a laid-back tip, as Jame$ catches up with local lassies in old hangouts, before heating things up at a carnival just as hints of dubstep/EDM riffs meld in. Elsewhere, Jame$ has made the cover of XXL 2013 Freshman Class Issue alongside the likes of Joey Badass, ScHoolboy Q and Action Bronson. “Females Welcomed” is off Jame$’s breakout mixtape Don’t Be S.A.F.E. – stay tuned for more on his debut album from Def Jam due before the end of the year.
