Sixteen years after its initial introduction, the Nike Air Foamposite One has maintained a massive amount of popularity thanks to its rugged and futuristic looks, bold colorways, and association with Penny Hardaway. Originally released in 1997 and designed by Nike Basketball‘s Eric Avar with inadvertent inspiration from a molded sunglasses case, the Foamposite One is returning this very month in a brand new white-on-white colorway. Billed as the “cleanest yet,” the White/White-Metallic Silver edition of the late ’90s kicks pairs a tonal upper of white Foamposite, nubuck, and mesh with matching laces, metallic silver branding, a carbon fiber shank, and a translucent rubber outsole. The crisp all-white Nike Air Foamposite One will be available from Nike Sportswear accounts across the globe on March 29 for $220 USD.
