While you may no longer hear his tracks every time you turn on the radio, 50 Cent as a presence within the hip-hop community has not gone anywhere. What began as a group of friends assembling into a group called G-Unit has evolved into a full-fledged business operation with offices located in Manhattan. HYPETRAK had the opportunity to sit down with Mr. Jackson at the offices and discuss a wide range of topics, including his latest entrepreneurial ventures, his fifth studio album, what he describes as the “hipster states of hip-hop,” and of course the rapper’s undying knack for controversy.
