Revealing its expansive archive in recent times, adidas Originals has teamed up with Japanese retailer ZOZOTOWN to showcase another heritage silhouette which debuted in the early ’80s, coinciding with a time when the now-ubiquitous hip-hop culture saw its budding days. Dubbed the CP80s ZOZO, the formative tournament trainer is now revamped with a hefty dose of elegance. Crafted with quality material from Italy, the upper panels feature a luxurious navy suede and for a decorative flourish, the designers have altered one side of the shoe’s instep with pony hair, while the lateral side punctuates the Three-Stripes with snakeskin. The CP80s ZOZO will be released from March 6 onwards, with an exclusive first release from ZOZOTOWN.
