Joey Bada$$ the New Creative Director of Ecko Clothing

The title of Creative Director is certainly one of the most highly regarded positions in the creative world. It doesn’t necessarily mean the individual is hands-on in the design process but rather he or she simply determines what designs to create, as well as how it all will appeal to its target audience and maintain the brand’s distinct identity, among many additional aspects. With that said, the contemporary landscape of fashion and its lust to attract the urban market has introduced a paradigm in which hip-hop musicians are taking helm of the creative direction at certain brands. Following in the footsteps of Swizz Beatz and Pharrell, 18-year-old Brooklyn native Joey Bada$$ announces in the above interview that he’s been appointed the Creative Director position of Marc Ecko‘s Ecko clothing line. In this conversation with Fuse TV the Brooklyn protege gave a tour of Ecko’s showroom, some upcoming garbs he helped shape, as well as briefly speaking on how the collaboration came about and Marc’s influence on his career.
