Tame Impala's Side Project, Pond Debuts New Song "Giant Tortoise"

Pond, the side project sprung from Aussie outfit Tame Impala, are currently working on their fifth studio album Hobo Rocket, and today they share the album’s first single, “Giant Tortoise.” The tune features psychedelic grooves and relaxing riffs as both guitarist Jay Watson and vocalist Nick “Paisley Adams” Allbrook go back and forth exchanging leads. Going on to share a few details about their forthcoming album, Watson spoke with Tone Deaf and shared:

We were going to do a really nice, beautiful orchestrated album, but we figured we might as well capture the live band as we’ve been touring… So that’s what Hobo Rocket is, the full on, manic acid rock.
