Beyoncé Sings National Anthem A Cappella, Addresses Lip Sync Controversy

While much has been said – of course in a negative light – about Beyoncé recently lip syncing the National Anthem at President Obama’s inauguration, Bey decided to clear the air the other day by giving an undeniably impressive a cappella performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” while at a Super Bowl press conference. Of course captivating all those in attendance, you can now relive the special moment via the video above. In addressing the lip syncing incident, Bey had this to say:

I am a perfectionist. I practice till my feet bleed. I didn’t have time to practice with the orchestra. So due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking the risk.
