Sidian, Ersatz & Vanes started off with three friends on a road trip to Cape Mendocino and a few common denominators. As Vanes pointed out, they were all men, and when Ersatz added that they were each wearing shirts, the idea was born for a line that was based on the classic garment, but still reflected the quirky personalities of all three individuals. For Spring/Summer 2013, the label again riffs on the traditional canvas, this time with an array of spring-ready color-blocked and striped styles that give the wardrobe staple some graphic flair. Combining the sophistication of a dress shirt with the ease of a tee, each garment sports custom woven fabrics, single-needle construction and mother of pearl buttons, along with designs that reference everything from geometry to color theory.
Already a favorite of Frank Ocean and Arcade Fire, a selection of the Sidian, Ersatz and Vanes Spring/Summer 2013 collection is available now at our online store.
