Easily one of the more recognizable structural landmarks in the world, the Eiffel Tower becomes the newest addition to LEGO’s ongoing architecture series. The building itself has a marvelous history; built on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France, the 1,063-foot tall iron lattice tower was erected in 1889 to serve as the entrance to the World’s Fair during the same year. Although this item will not be available for purchase until January 1, 2014, LEGO already has it up on its website accompanied by some wonderful facts about its origin, makeup and architect – Gustave Eiffel.
