Beyoncé's Self-Titled Visual Album Goes Platinum
Despite not being sold in major retailers Target and Amazon, Beyoncé’s self-titled visual album
Despite not being sold in major retailers Target and Amazon, Beyoncé‘s self-titled visual album continues to do numbers. After unleashing her Death Grips-like release tactics, the album managed to break iTune sales records, and now it’s reached platinum status. Having only been released two weeks ago, the album managed to move 617,000 units in its initial week, which was followed up by an impressive 383,000 units sold this week. With the album now available in both digital and physical forms, Christmas shoppers have options in how they get their Beyoncé fix, so its safe to say that the numbers should remain steady heading in to the new year.
