While not specifically intended for action sports per se, Nike’s ACG Alder Mid takes special cues from the canon of active footwear to produce a versatile, weather-resistant boot hybrid. This version combines various protective textiles and leather in tightly bonded panels around the upper, while camo nylon around the collar offsets the rest of the shoe and allows for breathability. The midsole is composed of Phylon – a lightweight material similar to Nike‘s Lunarlon – which also has an Air sole unit to protect from impact.
