Flaunting the expanding possibilities of Glass, Google is set to roll out musical functionality for the augmented reality device. The feature is set to debut amongst “Explorers” – Google Glass beta testers – incorporating searching, sound detection and playback capabilities for the tool. These features will link seamlessly with a Google Play account, which will allow access to playlists and song recommendations. Accomplished music engineer Young Guru created a video showcasing these new features in a ‘day-in-the-life’ piece, searching for translations in a restaurant setting, identifying a song playing in the background, then sharing the song with his friend and flipping it in the studio. Enjoy the video above, and look for the accompanying Glass-specific earbuds to drop later in the month for $85 USD.
