After showing you the teaser for the upcoming BAIT x Saucony collaboration, we’ve now got an exclusive first look at the Shadow Original “Cruel World.” Designed around the premise of building a totally animal product-free shoe, the Shadow Original “Cruel World” has been produced using exclusively vegan materials. The upper features a combination of canvas panels with premium vegan suede overlays, natural hemp accents, cork insoles, and a speckled vegan outsole. The Saucony-approved vegan shoe is also constructed using natural materials like vegan glue and animal byproduct and derivative-free compounds.

The inspiration behind the cruelty-free shoe extends not just to animals but people too. The idea of utilizing “non-violent constructs” is something that the team at BAIT truly take to heart and to that end, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to A Place Called Home — a non-profit youth center in South Central, Los Angeles. The charity provides mentorship and programs focused in the arts, athletics, dance, and music to local kids and teens.

BAIT will be hosting in-store reservations from November 22-24 to make its Thanksgiving Day donation to A Place Called Home possible. Online entries for reservations will run from now until November 24 here. The shoes will be available for in-store picks and deliveries starting December 2. Find out more on this awesome collaboration here.
