Stone Island 2013 Fall/Winter "Ice Jacket" Video

Italian sportswear stalwart Stone Island has released a video highlighting one of its more technically advanced pieces for Fall/Winter 2013: the Ice Jacket. Using thermo-sensitive materials within the coat, the Ice Jacket changes its color depending on temperature or atmospheric change in a given environment. A polyurethane film is applied over the jacket’s polyester mesh base, which has been infused with a myriad of small pigmented molecules and changes color as a chemical reaction. No matter what color the jacket turns though, it also ensures warmth through a specialized polyester fiber quilting within the lining.
