The numbers are in. And it should not come as any surprise that Miley Cyrus is topping the chart this week with her new album Bangerz, which sold 270,000 units. It is her first album to push both No. 1 and No. 2 singles with “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop.” Despite this success and the undeniable media hype surrounding her, the album has failed to top her 2008′s Breakout, which moveed a considerable 371,000 first-week copies.
Things are looking bright for Pusha T as well as My Name Is My Name debuts at No. 4 in the Billboard 200 this week having sold a solid 75,000 first-week copies. Danny Brown has landed at No. 17 with his critically acclaimed offering Old, moving 15,000 copies. Drake’s Nothing Was the Same still resides comfortably in the top 3 with an additional 83,000 copies sold in its third week on the chart.
