Eytys "Marbling and Modernism" Installation @ Dover Street Market London

Throughout the month of November, a brand new installation from footwear label Eytys will be on display at Dover Street Market in London. Entitled “Marbling and Modernism,” the installation was created in conjunction with young Stockholm-based interior designer Sara Wetterqvist. A “combination of chemistry, craftsmanship and chance,” the display coincides with the release of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection (a range that incorporates unique paper-marbling techniques throughout its packaging) and sees various marbling experimentations across transparent plexiglass, mirrors and plywood – each created by treating the surfaces, water-baths, and paints with a variety of different natural extracts and chemicals, including algues and aluminum potassium sulfate. Eytys’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection of footwear will soon be available via the HYPEBEAST Store while “Marbling and Modernism” is set to make its way to Tokyo’s Dover Street Market Ginza this December.
