At the time of the shoe’s 44th birthday, Japanese sports footwear brand Onitsuka Tiger celebrates the release of the Corsair Limited with a special retro edition. Originally named the “Cortez,” the Corsair Limited was developed by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight (of Nike fame) during their tenure as distributors for Onitsuka Tiger in the U.S. They designed the shoe with a thickened midsole to add comfort to the shoe. Today, Onitsuka Tiger reissues the shoe, limiting production to 800 pairs worldwide. Composed of leather and suede and presented in the OG white/blue/red colorway, the shoe gives all the proper nods to the past. Look for the shoes now via the Afew web store.
