We’ve all seen the controversy a rare shoe can cause. Even our own name has been ungraciously thrown about in light of various unsightly footwear pursuits. Much of the appeal of these shoes is that once they’re gone, they’re gone–to private collections, consignment shops and, effectively, the sneaker afterlife. As they say though, keys open doors, and one with means is enabled to surpass these barriers and find any limited pair they’d like – with the right help. Enter Ro and Rick, co-owners of Detroit’s Burn Rubber and sneaker hunter extraordinaires. The two have just released the first episode of Detroit Rubber, a collector’s dream of a show that highlights their exploits in the rare shoe market. Watch as the pair attempt to hunt down a pair of Eminem‘s “Encore” Air Jordan 4s for Detroit Tigers superstar Prince Fielder.
