oki-ni x Dr. Martens 2013 Hair-On Monkey Boots

High-end retailer oki-ni has linked with one of the original workwear brands for a collaborative pair of Dr. Martens‘ Monkey Boots. Taking the name literally, oki-ni adorned the shoe in hair-on leather, adding a soft, unexpected texture to the shoe. The result is a silhouette re-imagined – a tasteful interpretation of the Monkey Boot that is consistent with the aesthetics of both brands. Utilitarian romances the fashion house on these boots, which feature quietly minimal stitching along the side panels, yet also an eye-popping and slick contrast leather on the toe and tongue. The shoe is featured in two colorways, navy blue and oxblood, and is available on oki-ni’s website.
