Converse announces its Spring 2013 Chinese New Year collection featuring the Converse Cons Pro Leather Year of the Snake and Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Chinese New Year. Paying homage to the Chinese zodiac symbol, these limited-edition sneakers offer blended premium leathers, crafted snakeskin patterns and unconventional details. The Converse Cons Pro Leather Year of the Snake sneaker is a carefully crafted take on the legendary silhouette utilizing a highly premium faux-python in a deep burgundy tone. This is balanced by lining the sneaker in ultra-soft sheepskin leather in tandem with Converse’s iconic canvas. The Chuck Taylor All Star features crafted snakeskin patterns revealed under blurring print on the uppers – with options of rock ‘n’ roll black, seasonal Chinese red and unique metallic colorings. Along with these features, each sneaker has additional details such as rivets, zippers, flocking and mixture of premium materials. The Converse Spring 2013 Chinese New Year collection will be available starting today at Converse retail stores and online for between $75-$120 USD.
