Mark McNairy 2013 Fall/Winter Collection Preview

American homegrown designer Mark McNairy‘s 2013 fall/winter collection takes a poke at stuffy collegiates with its many cheeky details. Long known for his Ivy League-inspired aesthetics and previous work with J. Press, McNairy’s own New Amsterdam label edges more and more towards the street side of things while seamlessly retaining traditional prep elements. In tongue-in-cheek fashion, some pieces from this collection offer a suppressed giggle to the keen observer–a tri-tone peak lapel single-breasted suit, and the innocuously rude initials “B.S.” on the crest of that college blazer with the bright yellow bow.
