Returning to celebrate the 23-year anniversary of the original silhouette and last seen in 2008 alongside the Air Jordan 18 as part of a Countdown Pack from Jordan Brand, the White/Fire Red-Black colorway of the Air Jordan 5 is set to return this very month. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, inspired by the WWII Mustang fighter plane and worn by “His Airness” on his way to a fourth-straight NBA scoring title in 1990, the 2013 retro appears sans embroidered “23” branding and features a smooth white leather upper alongside translucent mesh overlays, an icy translucent blue outsole, a reflective 3M tongue, and a combination of black and red accents throughout. The White/Fire Red-Black Air Jordan 5 is set to make its way to Jordan Brand retailers on January 26, 2013 for $160 USD.
