Over two years since the release of their sophomore album (2010’s Contra), NYC’s Vampire Weekend took to their Twitter yesterday, stating simply “LP3 complete, May 7th.” While the musicians themselves may have kept it short, their label XL Recordings provided a link to the band’s official website, which had been updated to include both UK and U.S. release dates. Vampire Weekend debuted the track “Unbelievers,” performing it live on Jimmy Kimmel. The new record includes work with producer Ariel Rechstaid who has recently worked with artists such as Major Lazer, Snoop Lion and Usher. Surely this will add a new, exciting dynamic to the group’s music. Let us know what you guys think in the comments below.
