While others before him boasted individual sneaker models under a larger brand’s umbrella, in 1989 Patrick Ewing became the first professional basketball player to offer his own brand with Ewing Athletics. Making his debut with the 33 Hi, this month brings with it a relaunch in multiple colorways. Featuring a classic reversible ankle strap, reinforced heel and full leather or suede upper, various other Ewing-related features include name and number as well. The 33 Hi from Ewing Athletics will release in limited quantities on August 31 for $100 USD at Kith Manhattan.
