Here comes a visual that gives you a slight recourse as to why J. Cole has been under the radar of late. Following up on his successful debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story, the 27-year-old rapper from Fayetteville, North Carolina hasn’t offered any new material for the masses since the album’s inception in September 2011. However, Jermaine took the opportunity to recite an acapella version of a track titled “Chaining Day.” Although this is brand new material, we get no mention as to where the song will be featured in regards to a mixtape or an album.
