Last weekend marked the opening of K11 Art Mall’s first Public Fair. As the name suggests, Public Fair No.1 is entirely intended for the public and was created to give the Hong Kong community exposure to an array of artwork from artists around the world. Amongst the artists contributing are Suitman (Korea/Hong Kong), Cody Hudson (United States), Sticky Monster Lab (Korea), and husband and wife duo Hitotzuki. On display is Suitman’s “Travels to Brobdingnag & Lilliput” photo display along with a custom 16-foot Suitman inflatable; Cody Hudson’s “Lost & Found” artwork made from Hong Kong SCAD’s photo prints and various objects found on the city streets; Hitotzuki’s live painted 80-foot mural; and last but not least, Sticky Monster Lab’s ““The Loner” figurines and digital animation video. For those planning on traveling to the city, the fair will run from May 17 to July 8, 2012.
