Yesterday, the music world was hit with the tragic news of Beastie Boys member Adam “MCA” Yauch passing away after a three year battle with cancer. It didn’t take 24 hours for the first tributes to arrive. Coldplay were among the first ones that honored the life and times of the late and great emcee. The band played a piano cover of the Beastie Boys’ classic 1987 anthem, “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)” during their show at the Hollywood Bowl yesterday.
