“Rebel” is the latest exhibition set to hit Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art. Conceived by actor and author James Franco alongside Douglas Gordon, Harmony Korine, Damon McCarthy, Paul McCarthy, Terry Richardson, Ed Ruscha and Aaron Young, the presentation is an ode to Nicholas Ray’s Rebel Without A Cause, starring James Dean, and will include various reinterpretations in media of film, video, photography, painting, drawing and sculpture. Designed and produced by Commonwealth Projects and presented by Gucci, alongside Seven For All Mankind and Samsung, “Rebel” is set to open at contemporary design space JF Chen on May 15 and will remain accessible to the public through June 23.
