Brooklyn’s very own Outlier set out to create a better men’s dress shirt, and after three years of research and development, they may just have succeeded with the innovative Blazed Cotton Pivot Shirt. This reinterpreted version of a traditional men’s wardrobe staple is single-needle stitched and constructed from Outlier’s open-point oxford cloth. Further inline with Outlier’s performance ethos, it is finished with a self-cleaning Nano-Tex treatment to repel dirt and sweat, keeping the shirt clean and dry. An interesting bit about the shirt is the patent-pending Pivot Sleeve. The Pivot Sleeve construction eliminates tension points in the shoulders, sleeves and cuffs, allowing for a more natural range of motion. It was initially conceptualized around allowing the shirt sleeves to fit and move more naturally while cycling, but it’s also proven to fit better in everyday situations as well. Like everything else Outlier makes, the Blazed Cotton Pivot Shirt is made in New York City. It retails for $144 USD — head over to Outlier to pick one up.
