TIME Magazine has unveiled its list of the 2012 Most Influential People in the World that draws from the world of politics, business, entertainment and sports. In their own words, “They are the people who inspire us, entertain us, challenge us and change our world.” Presented in categories like breakouts, pioneers, moguls, leaders and icons, the list ranges from President Barack Obama to New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin – signaling that “influence” can have vastly different implications in today’s society.
