Big Boi featuring Little Dragon - Mama Told Me

Big Boi leaks another hit from his highly anticipated LP Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. Even though OutKast may be in hiatus, Big Boi continues to prove himself as one of today’s most prominent rappers via collaborations with a list of contemporaries. Here, we get a first listen to “Mama Told Me” – a track featuring vocals from the lovely Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon, and production duties from Atlanta production trio, The Flush. Unfortunately, this track will not be featured on the album, instead Yukimi’s vocals will be replaced by those of Kelly Rowland due to “business terms being out of our control.” Nonetheless, the result of this collaboration is a captivating art-pop piece that merges qualities from both artists – while Big Boi verbalizes on topics of art legends, positive vibes and his Jordans, Yukimi’s poignant vocals blend in and out of lighthearted percussions, retro reverbs, and a funkilicious drum beat. Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors drops December 11 via Island Def Jam.
