Famed Photographer Annie Leibovitz Lists Her $33 Million Home in the West Village

Famed portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz has put her New York home on the market for $33 million USD. The 10,202-square-foot West Village compound consists of three separate townhouses, each with its own features. Two of the townhouses had been designed as living and guest quarters, while the third had been converted into a studio with its own reception area and kitchen. All three residences are however interconnected and surround a private garden. Occupying a superb corner of one of Manhattan’s wealthiest neighborhoods, the quirky three-part property conceals wide-plank wooden floors, vintage banisters, 13 fireplaces, and a chef’s kitchen that leads out onto an iron-gated, ivied slate patio and private West 11th Street courtyard. While Leibovitz says her reason for selling the property is to move closer to her daughter’s school upstate, rumor has it that the sale will resolve some ongoing and persistent financial difficulties.
