Few brands have a more eclectic consumer base than Casio and its expansive collection of timepieces. From covert-ops sporting the latest in timekeeping technology to young scholars keeping track of study time with a calculator infused watch, the Japan-based electronics maker began as a small calculator producer, but is now renowned for its ubiquitous digital watches. Advancing its product line once again, Casio offers a look into two new Solar Military releases in a matte navy. Each timepiece is built with the brand’s Tough Solar powered technology with a resin shock and 200-meter water-resistant casing and band. Starting with the rugged GR7900NV-2, G-Shock offers a wristwatch perfect for the adventurous water-goer. It features buttons that are among the largest available in the G-Shock lineup, low temperature resistance, moon and tide graphs and large bezel screws showing you its toughness is real. Continuing with the GR8900NV-2, this military-inspired piece features easy-to-read LCDs highlighted by automatic super illuminator LED backlights, a power-saving mode, and multidimensional case. Each timepiece will begin retailing this December at select Macy’s, Bloomingdales and various boutiques around the United States.
