Lil Wayne Opens DEWeezy Skate Park in New Orleans (Recap)

As previously reported, Lil Wayne has partnered with Mountain Dew to open a brand new skatepark in his hometown of New Orleans. Dubbed ‘DEWeezy,’ the park is located in the city’s Lower Ninth Ward. The project was created by using recycled materials and is run with solar energy while providing a free destination for local enthusiasts to hop on their boards. Honoring the grand opening, Lil Wayne was on deck to cut the ceremonial ribbon while Mountain Dew team riders Paul Rodriguez, Theotis Beasley and Keelan Dadd put on a demo for the crowd in attendance.
