“I’ll mostly be relaxing, meditating and playing with my daughter … and trying not to deprive myself of sleep,” stated David Blaine at a recent press conference for his upcoming stunt. Despite prepping for one of his craziest displays to date — a feat that involves standing in between massive tesla coils with over one million volts of electricity surging — David Blaine seems surprisingly calm and collected. Taking place at New York’s Pier 54, the storied American illusionist has aligned with the Intel’s Ultrabook for the aptly titled, “Electrified: One Million Volts Always On” — an incredibly impressive three day and three night public exhibition of unprecedented proportions. Blaine will entrust his well-being over the course of the stunt to simply a chainmail bodysuit, a wire helmet, a visor for eye protection as well as hearing protection. Visitors to Pier 54 will be able to fully engage in Blaine’s journey by sending him messages, controlling the electrical currents and keep him alert.
Intel will be streaming the entire Electrified stunt via YouTube while additional installations and viewing stations will be implemented in London, Beijing, Tokyo, and Syndney which will allows visitors the ability to control the coils as well.
