The Nike Zoom Hyperdunk made waves when it was first released by incorporating flywire technology and a heavily functional mesh composite upper into an ultralight, sleek and attractive high top silhouette. The shoe not only looks great, but it’s also ideal for use while actually playing basketball. New from Nike comes the 2011 iteration of the Hyperdunk set for a late August release. Available in a white/red/black model with contrast-colored flywire visible throughout the upper, the kicks also include an updated, glass-reinforced composite mid-foot shank which supposedly adds “torsional rigidity and responsiveness.” Basically, they’re comfortable, functional and look dope to boot.
