Finally, after weeks of speculation and teasers, comes Adam Kimmel’s signature collaboration with classic American workwear brand Carhartt. Although hugely popular in Europe and Asia, Carhartt has yet to catch on in the high-fashion circles as strongly as they would clearly like to in the states. This collection, however, might change things. Taking Kimmel’s trademark method of inventively using lux fabrics and time-honored design processes to reinvent basic heritage pieces, the line’s simple jackets, hooded sweatshirts, tees and accessories are at once both wearable and statement-making.
