Although an unfinished, low-quality version surfaced on the internet awhile back, the music video for Kanye West’s “Monster” was never officially released. Until now, that is. Finally, Kanye premiered the video to the sixth track off of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy on his blog last night. In response to backlash against its content, which was deemed misogynistic by some, a disclaimer was added to the very beginning of the video in hopes that viewers will take the visuals in an artistic context instead of a literal one. Included in it are scenes of ‘Ye rapping his lyrics while in bed with two motionless females, while avoiding a hoard of zombies that lurk outside, and while holding a decapitated head. Also, Rick Ross kicks back in a red dinner jacket while women hang around him, Jay-Z recites his verse with a limp lady laying in the background, and Nicki Minaj battles between her alter egos. Watch the gory, controversial video for “Monster” above in high definition.
