Dr. Dre in "Final Stretch" of Working on 'Detox'?

Recently, Billboard got in touch with well-known producer DJ Khalil to talk about a sensitive subject among the hip-hop community. While the interview does touch on the Los Angeles-based beatmaker’s career and his upcoming work with Drake and Bad Meets Evil, the focus of the article is clearly on the statements he makes about Dr. Dre’s long-awaited third album, Detox. Khalil produced the beat for the album’s first single, “Kush,” but apparently he’s become a pivotal part of the project over the past six years he’s been working on it. Now, after Detox has started to take shape this year through the success of its first two singles, Khalil says Dre is in the “final stretch” of working on it. Let’s hope he’s right!
