James Franco to release EP

James Franco is the latest actor who set out to pursue a career as a recording artist. Franco has joined musical forces with New York performance artist Kalup Linzy in order to release the Turn It Up EP, scheduled for a tentative release in July. A first taste of their work already appeared online in the shape of the song “Broken.” The 127 Hours star told New York Magazine:

“Kalup has given me a lot of confidence, showing me how you can boldly and nakedly put yourself into your work. He has no fear when it comes to art or performance, and I admire that.”

This, however, does not mean that Franco won’t appear in any movies anymore. The popular actor will be next seen in the highly anticipated Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
