Back in the 1970s, a music teacher by the name of Conrad “Prof” Johnson would reinvigorate the tired and often boring stage band with his own infusion of contemporary funk, jazz and soul. Featuring Jamie Foxx among the executive producers, Thunder Soul tells the story of the Kashmere Stage Band who come together 35 years later to revisit their memories and see what’s left in their proverbial music tank. A full roll-out to theaters is set for September 23, 2011.
