Whether he’s rapping, DJing, producing or taking photos, Brooklyn’s own MeLo-X seems to always have his hand in something. But instead of releasing new material yesterday from one of his many hats, he decided to pull out a card from his 2009 BLACKsummers’night Instrumental Remix EP, which is his own take on R&B singer Maxwell’s Grammy Award-winning album by the same name. One of the most successful tracks from the project was his rendition of “Bad Habits,” entitled “The Highest.” According to MeLo himself, it was “purchased by Sony Music back in 2009 and used during Maxwell’s World Tour.” While in the studio recently, MeLo sat down and cranked out an elaborate, electronic performance of the song.
