Dub Sonata - Puffin' on a Fat Blunt (Nights in Cuba)

Bronx-based Dub Sonata comes through with an interesting musical project entitled Nights in Cuba. The beatsmith had the opportunity to visit the communist Caribbean island of Cuba, and found great inspiration for music there. Spending over a week digging through crates of records on the island, Dub Sonata was encouraged by various samples including those from the likes of Los Reyes 73, Merceditas Valdes and Pablo Milanes. Thus, created Nights in Cuba, a collection of records that embrace sounds from a multitude of genres. As a little appetizer, you can listen to “Puffin’ on a Fat Blunt” below.
