Lumina FLO by Foster + Partners

British design firm Foster + Partners recently developed the FLO, a modern take on your standard variety floor/desk lamp. Produced for Italian lighting company Lumina, FLO was developed as a functional reading light that employs the latest dimmable LED technology incorporated into a simple, flowing form. The elegance of the light is not only achieved through its fine shape but through the lack of extraneous moving parts such as coils and springs. By reducing the volume of the light, the silhouette has been minimized, helping the light almost disappear in a room. FLO will be shown at Milan Design Week 2011.
