C. Chauchat 2011 Spring/Summer "Pattern Recognition" Collection
Born from a mutual appreciation for classic, high-quality garments and hand-tailoring
Born from a mutual appreciation for classic, high-quality garments and hand-tailoring techniques, C. Chauchat was started by designers Beverly Liang and Curie Choi. The pair approach their men’s accessories collection from a female point of view with a definite appreciation for masculine aesthetics. Having collaborated with designer Robert Geller for Fall/Winter 2010, the latest collection for Spring/Summer 2011, titled “Pattern Recognition,” merges the classic with the experimental and aims to transform the necktie into a canvas for imagination. The pieces feature 1960s Pop Art and Magic Eye illusions using graphic cotton voiles layered with neon silk chiffon and tulle to create a unique combination of color, pattern and texture.
