From New York City-based artist Cope 2 comes “Rise To The Occasion,” a solo exhibition of new original mixed media paintings and giclée prints. Curated by Fernando Ruiz Lorenzo, this is the artist’s first exhibition in the Wynwood Arts District of Miami, and the works explore the convergence of his signature bubble type as well as lettering style. Ultimately, they aim to tell a story of the artist’s coming of age and experience as well as the obstacles he has overcome as a predominantly spray can artist. Cope 2 is an artist that for over 30 years has solidified his spot as one of the world’s most recognizable street artists, and “Rise To The Occasion” is a reflection from unknown to renowned. The exhibition will run from December 1 through December 4, 2011 at The Wynwood Arts District located at 167 NW 25th Street in Miami.
